If the 200 year old "La Plantade" Mas (farmhouse) now acts as a country resort getaway, it was in another age, a site of bustling agricultural and pastoral activities. Each of the two accommodations, renovated as "gîtes" (rural lodgings), maintains the original spirit of this Provencal Mas as a place of rest and relaxation, surrounded by the estate's fertile grounds. "Lou Pastre" gîte reflects our Provencal tradition of sheep raising; whereas "Lis Oulivié" gîte's name is for our longstanding olive oil production. "La Plantade" captures the heart of Provencal life as immortalized in the tales of Alphonse Daudet, whose memorial windmill stands just over the nearest hill: from Master Cornille to Mister Seguin, Daudet's Provence comes to life at "La Plantade". ...So remember, as Alphonse Daudet wrote, if the little goat, as confident as ever, stuffs itself on wild thyme, the proverbial wolf yet might appear. Elisabeth & Pierre welcomes you to "La Plantade".
